Product School provides real-time online and campus-based courses for individuals seeking a career in product management. Campuses span multiple countries, though the headquarters is in San Francisco.
Highlights: Participants can leverage flexible scheduling options; new cohorts begin each month, and classes can be taken part-time or full-time. Classes are limited to 20 students each and incorporate hands-on training, case studies, and mentorship. Accepted students may have in-class training hours, guest lectures, and additional homework. What is General Assembly?
General Assembly offers coding classes at 30 campuses around the world and online. Courses can be taken part-time or full-time depending on a student's schedule and professional goals. General Assembly was started in 2011 and continues to evolve its award-winning curriculum to cover current, in-demand skills.
Highlights: Interested candidates work with an admissions representative to match their professional goals and experience. The immersion programs require additional assessments. Many classes require pre-work.
Financing/scholarship options: Students must make a down payment to secure one of the limited program spots, though financing partners, a deferred tuition option, and installment plans assist students with additional financial burdens. General Assembly also works with current employers to sponsor employees seeking additional training and offers tuition discounts to women through the See Her Excel program.
What makes General Assembly unique?
Beginner students have access to basic instruction as well as additional support, feedback, and office hours. Part-time students must complete additional homework assignments outside of class, whereas full-time students will work on portfolio projects and attend networking events.
